Character Information
What's a story without its characters? Weird Battles has a variety of characters, which will be updated from time to time. It will show the character’s name and then a couple of scentences about them below.
The Chief of Scientists
The Chief of Scientists is in charge of the Bloomington Science Research Center. Although he has many awards, he is often cowardly, and will leave tasks to others. He always carries two powerful laser guns, which at first were just for appearances, but he has used them more frequently since he arrived at Weird Land. He inherited the position of The Chief of Scientists (his real name is Steve, but he just goes by "The Chief of Scientists" because it sounds a lot cooler) from his brother Bernard, who went missing.
Weird Man
Weird Man is the greatest hero in all of Weird Land. He can fly and can shape-shift part of his body, such as turning his arm into a flamethrower/grenade launcher, his hand into a shield, ect. His greatest enemies are The Pencil Lady and The Evil Bigheaded Version of Goldilocks, and his best friend is Boomerang Man. Here are several of his powers' names: Flame-Thrower Arm, Grenade Launcher Arm (or G.L.A), flying, Rocket Feet, Hand Shield, Arms Blades, Finger Knives, Garbage Bag Punch, Chair Back (growing a chair out of his back; Often used to give rides, most frequently The Chief of Scientists). Weird Man also has many powers he has yet to discover, but the majority of them revolve around fire and metal, prompting his fear of water. His major malfunction is that he has a tough time swimming. The only kinds of missions he could have accepted but passed on were almost all under-water missions.
Boomerang Man
A strong character made out of Boomerangs. He can throw his arms to take down enemies at long range and has superior physical strength. Although sometimes people consider Weird Man better, he does have several fans, and can handle missions on his own. He's often assisted Weird Man in the past, and still does today, but as an ally, not as a sidekick. He is a good mechanic and has built many strong battle veichals. His best is the Boomerang-Chopper; A helicopter that can shoots giant boomerangs. He has a crush on Sign Woman and tries to impress her.
The Pencil Lady
The Pencil Lady is one of Weird Man's greatest enemies. She's almost as thin as a regular pencil, but is about the average height of a human. By sticking her arms out and spinning, she can fly as very fast speeds. She punches really fast and can drill underground by turning her feet into a pencil lead. All in all, her main advantage is speed. She is so fast that she is considered one of the fastest beings known in Weird Land.
The Evil Bigheaded Version of Goldilocks
Why is she named this way? Mostly because of her golden hair that she can extend and retract in order to put it into different shapes, such as fists, hammers, motorcycles, etc. She is said to have infinite abilities with her hair, making her difficult to predict. But with all that hair in her head, she has very little brains, and often makes bad moves and will taunt her opponents.
Sir Toots Away
Just from the name of this character and you can tell that he is not your average character. He can fly by farting and when he does he shouts, "TOOTS AWAY!!!”. He is a stick person. How he does this is that he was born with an extreme constipation disorder and some bionics were installed, but he turns up the power to extreme when he goes out on a mission. Although his power is hilarious, he takes his missions very seriously, which gives him the nickname of "The Farting Crusader". He owns many gas stations and his stink bombs are the most popular in Weird Land. His weakness is air fresheners.
Sign Woman
Sign Woman is a heroine in the story. Her main powers are shooting splinters (which she re-grows almost immediately) and creating words of her choice into a physical object and shooting them. Wrapped underneath her arms are long strips of paper that she uses to glide like a flying squirrel. She is Boomerang Man's crush and is always trying to prove her worth to other Weirdoes that she is worthy of being a high-ranked superhero.
Peany Pete
Before you say it, I know that "Peany" isn't a word. It's supposed to be a cross between pea and teeny, because he is quite short and his power is shooting peas (as in the vegetable). He's afraid of the public and especially the government, so he stays out of sight. He doesn't have a job, so he has to steal to get food. He wears a white-gray cloak and black pants and is short with green skin and fat hands. Believe it or not, this is the first character I came up with, although so far he's only been in one chapter. I made him up when I was four and drove my dad crazy saying in the car, "Dad, its Peany Pete! Fire the missiles!". :) I was probably the only kid in my preschool class who had an imaginary enemy. But to this day, I still remember Peany Pete, and he is back in action for Weird Battles!
Broccoli Oblama
Yes, I know I spelt "Obama" wrong. It's on purpose. Broccoli Oblama is the president of Weird Land. He lives and works in The White House of Weirdoes. Only the top 50 heroes in Weird Land receive missions directed especially to them from Broccoli Oblama. When there's a mission, Broccoli Oblama usually calls upon Weird Man. He almost never calls on heroines, but he's sometimes been impressed with how Sign Woman handles her missions. He is highly respected, even if he does order pizza secretly.
Captain Deodorant
In Weird Land, Deodorant is a cube that you throw onto the ground that turns into a cannon that shoots bombs that completely destroy anything they touch with only a minor explosion by spreading out the molecules in and object. Their power is from a dangerous volcano known as Mount Deodorant. Captain Deodorant is one who uses these Deodorant Cubs very well. As rare as they are, he has a couple dozen, making him a huge threat. He was once a great hero. However, he one day randomly turned evil (probably from going insane with power) and began his career as a villain! He was once put in jail, but he will most likely do whatever it takes to get out...
